I started in Fall of 2017 as the new 3rd grade teacher.
Prior to accepting the 3rd grade position at KEMS, I taught at St. Jude, a private school in Wichita. I started teaching in 5th grade and did that for two years from 2012-2014. I moved from 5th grade to 3rd grade in 2014 and taught 3rd grade at St. Jude until 2017.
I met my husband Garrett during my freshman year of college. We got married in the summer of 2010. We have 1 son, Parker who is in second grade. He goes to school in Wichita. We have a 4 year old mini Australian Shepard named Max. We got him at Christmas time in 2013.
I grew up in Wichita, and it doing so, grew up to be an avid KC Royals and Chiefs fan. I am also a fan of KU basketball. I enjoy watching these games on TV or in person with my family. I also enjoy helping my husband coach our son’s baseball team. I enjoy watching Parker in all his activities and he keeps me very busy! He plays soccer, basketball, and baseball. When we aren’t busy with school or sports, we love to take vacations, even short trips to KC or OKC! My grandparents live in South Texas and we enjoy visiting them once or twice a year and getting to spend time at the beach.
