September 7, 2015

This will be a short week.  I hope everyone had a restful Labor Day Weekend.  It was very hot, that's for sure.

Just a reminder that Mr. Wilson will be at KES from 6-8 on Wednesday, Sept 9, to sign your student up for band and an instrument.

FYI...parent/teacher conferences are September 29th and 30th.  Conferences will begin at 3:45 pm each day.  Please email me this week if you need an early morning or later conference time.  rgritmacker@knusd331.com

Thank you and have a great week.

New spelling words for the week are on SpellingCity/MsGrit/.com.  We are reviewing different ways to use long a and long e spellings.

We are studying area and volume in math. Knowing multiplication facts makes this a much easier process.  Keep studying those facts.

We are almost done with beginning of the year testing.  Thank goodness!  There are just a few students who need to finish.  We are now into learning every day and I am ready for regular teaching instead of testing as much as the students are.

Encourage your child to continue reading at home and studying those multiplication facts.  Start with the lower numbers and work your way up.
